Our awesome clients: Here
Here is a not-for-profit social enterprise that creates and delivers healthcare solutions in partnership with third sector organisations and the NHS, both on a local and national scale. They believe it’s vital to effect change in the healthcare industry in order to get it right first time for people and therefore maximise efficiency and resource in our healthcare economy. These great values that they put into practice so effectively is what makes Here one of our awesome clients.
Here’s organisational purpose is to create more possibilities for care, by designing care with a priority to what matters most to the people who need, use and benefit from it – citizens. A great example of their work is the Sussex MSK Partnership (Central), which is all about putting patients in control and ensuring care is tailored to their needs. It is a partnership between Here and the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT), and this spring it was recognised for designing and implementing the “Best Educational Programme for the NHS” at the HSJ Partnership Awards in 2019.
Here creates partnerships with the NHS and third sector organisations in Brighton and Hove, Sussex as well as nationally, helping them make the most of the resources at their disposal and provide a better experience for service users. Other examples are the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service, which aims to help anyone from the age of four suffering from depression or anxiety in the area, and the Memory Assessment Service, which supports those experiencing memory difficulties and dementia. Their national work is delivered by their innovation arm ‘Practice Unbound’, which works with Primary Care to help general practice work smarter.
Another way they have helped is by redesigning over 200 clinical pathways in multiple specialist areas, such as dermatology, dementia, and neurology. They were able to achieve this through the use of referral data, which allowed a better understanding of the care needed, consequently creating more informed decisions in designing more effective models of care. They continue to use data insights to design and deliver care that meets the needs of the communities they serve.
We came into the picture via Neo, who were doing a full rebrand for Here. The organisation had previously been known as Brighton and Hove Integrated Care Service (BICS), so we worked with Neo to build the new website, hereweare.org.uk, in the spring of 2016. As an organisation working closely with the NHS, it was vital that the Here website followed accessibility guidelines, and so we worked with Neo’s designers to ensure WCAG guidelines were strictly adhered to.
We then proceeded to work on the website for their service ‘Practice Unbound’, which was also part of a wider branding project. The branding and design for this site were produced by Naomi White, but it has since been redeveloped internally and we are, thus, unable to share that end result in this blogpost.
Working with Here over the past few years has not only been a great way to challenge us on what we can achieve for clients in the healthcare sector, but also to appreciate all the impressive work they carry out in our local community. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next and will continue to support them for as long as we can!
